New batch joins national service at Meqdam Camp

The Meqdam Camp received on Saturday the 11th batch of personnel enlisted for national service. This is the first batch following the issue of Law No 5 of 2018 pertaining to national service. They were received by Staff Major General Saeed Hamad al-Nuaimi, president of National Service Academy, along with a number of officers and trainers. Staff Major General al-Nuaimi expressed his happiness at receiving the batch as it is the first after the new law was issued. He thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, as well as HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs; and Staff Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, for their continuous and unlimited support for national service projects.
