Hollywood actor Stephen Baldwin paid a courtesy call to President Rodrigo Duterte in a hotel in Taguig City on Wednesday.The American is in the Philippines to shoot the drug-themed movie Kaibigan (Friend).It was earlier reported that Margaux “Mocha” Uson, assistant secretary at the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), will be in the movie as a journalist.“Baldwin explained that one of the defining reasons for the creation of the movie was to send an important message to the youth on the consequences of making the wrong choices in life. He said that movies are one of the most effective ways to promote an advocacy, such as this,” Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said in a statement.“He also believes that if prevention from vices can be implemented early on, government leaders such as the President would have an easier job,” Go added.During the meeting, Go said Baldwin asked Duterte’s opinion on his daughter, model Hailey Baldwin’s engagement to recording artist Justin Bieber, in which Duterte responded that all would be well as long as Bieber believes in the sanctity of marriage.The president’s top aide said he would have a cameo part in the film as a basketball coach of a national city high school.Go is a fan of the sport, playing for Muntinlupa Cagers in the opener of the Maharlika Philippine Basketball League last June.He said Duterte would attend the premiere showing of the movie in October or November this year.As a parting gift, Baldwin gave Duterte his autobiography The Unusual Suspect.
