Qatar Charity (QC) announced yesterday that it launched a number of development projects during the first half of this year in Kyrgyzstan that focused on the health and education sectors in particular. QC said in a press statement that it signed with Kyrgyzstan’s Iman Foundation, which is overseen by President of the country Sooronbay Jeenbekov, to publish books for the foundation. The charity also gave 100 wheelchairs for people with disabilities. The project was carried out in co-operation with the country’s ministry of social affairs. The charity also revealed plans to give out another 80 wheelchairs in different areas over the coming weeks. Qatar Charity also said that Qatar’s embassy in Kyrgyzstan had donated QR2mn to the Centre for teaching the Arabic Language.Senegal leader meets attorney-generalPresident of Senegal Macky Sall yesterday met HE the Attorney-General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, who is currently visiting Dakar.
