Explosion in Afghan province condemned

Qatar has strongly condemned the explosion that occurred in the western Afghanistan province of Farah leaving several people dead and injured. Qatar has also condemned the explosion at a checkpoint in Lamitan City of Basilan island in southern Philippines which left several people dead and injured. In separate statements issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm position in rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons. The ministry reaffirmed solidarity with the Filipino government in its procedures to maintain safety and stability.
