Britain's Geraint Thomas cruised down the Champs-Elysees as Tour de France champion on Sunday in a final stage won by Norway's Alexander Kristoff.Team Sky's Thomas had already effectively secured his first Tour title on Saturday as tradition dictated that the yellow jersey wearer would not be attacked by rivals during the largely processional route into Paris on Sunday's 21st stage. The third Briton to win the race, Thomas was greeted by several British and Welsh flags on the 116-kilometre route. He succeeds team-mate and compatriot Chris Froome as champion. Froome had won four of the previous five Tours and came into this year's race as favourite but finished third behind Tom Dumoulin of the Netherlands.
