AMAI holds convocation for Grade-X students

Al Madrasa Al Islamiyya (AMAI), recently organised a convocation. Inaugurating the convocation, Dr Muntasir Fayis al-Hamad, Assistant Professor at Qatar University, urged the students to practice what they learnt at the institution by decimating evil and promoting uprightness in society. He encouraged parents to furnish their children with the sound knowledge of the Holy Qur’an and Sunna (practices of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) and emphasised on moral education and training for character building.Safeer Mampad, Acting Principal of AMAI, welcomed the guests. The programme started with recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Fadil Muhammed Riyas, a student at AMAI. It was followed with speeches by Waseem Abdul Wahid and Nabeela Abdul Kader, and meaningful songs by Rasha Juraij, Ehab Noushad and Rida Fathima, students of AMAI. Naval Aboobacker, Rumana Fida and Hana Abulaise were the presenters of the programme.The event was chaired by K C Abdul Lateef, President of Centre for Indian Community (CIC). Dr Al-Hamad distributed the certificates to the rank holders in the Class-X public examinations and the cash awards to the position holders were presented by Fazil Abdul Hameed, GM Al Muftah Rent A Car. VK Hamza Abbas, Chief Editor at Gulf Madhyamam, also spoke on the occasion. Siddeeq MT, Vice Principal of AMAI, thanked the guests.Other dignitaries, who distributed the certificates to the students included Dr Amanulla Vadakkangara, President PTA (Parent Teacher Assocation); KL Hashim, Treasurer; Mukarram and his wife, Executive Members; EP Abdulrahiman, MD Care and Cure; Dr Taj Aluva, President Cultural Forum; MT Adam, Principal Madrasa Wakra; RS Abdul Jaleel, Vice President CIC; and Abdulsalam bin Hassan, General Secretary.
