Ailing Malayalam actor moved from Oman to Kochi

Veteran ailing Malayalam actor Captain Raju was yesterday brought to Kochi from Oman and taken to hospital. Last week, on his way to the US to attend his son’s wedding, Raju fell unconscious. The flight was diverted and landed in Muscat. Soon, he was taken to a hospital there and was under medical supervision. Yesterday the family decided to bring him to Kerala for further treatment. His condition is stable, according to sources. The 68-year-old veteran, who quit the Indian Army, started his acting career in 1981. He has acted in several films and has directed two movies. He has often been cast as a villain due to his towering personality. He has also featured in character roles and in TV serials.
