HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak al-Kuwari honoured the graduates of the 13th Shariah training course session for Qatari imams and preachers at a ceremony held last night at the ministry. The honouree included 18 Qatari imams and preachers who attended the Shariah training course, held from March to May, covering a number of Shariah and linguistic courses, as well as memorising session of the Qur’an.Speaking at the ceremony, Mal Allah al-Jaber, director, Da’wah and Religious Guidance, said that the training course is an extension of the series of courses for Qatari imams and preachers that started in 2005.
He added that the session is part of the ministry’s plan to prepare the Qatari imams and provide them with the necessary Shariah knowledge in order to perform this task, noting that the participants received lectures in jurisprudence, Tajweed, as well as a programme to prove the memorisation of the Qur’an. Real estate trading crosses QR271mn in one weekThe total value of real estate transactions in the sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice from May 13 to 17 reached QR271,439,348.According to the weekly bulletin issued by the Department, types of real estate traded included plots of land, houses, residential buildings, a residential complex and a multi-use land.The majority of the trading took place in Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Al Dhayain, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakhira, and Al Shamal Municipalities.
Mercedes Benz GLE-Class 2017 model recalledThe Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has announced the recall of Mercedes Benz GLE-Class model of 2017 because the right front air suspension strut may not comply with factory specification.The MEC said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
