Mercury is expected to spike to early or mid 40s on Saturday, Qatar Meteorological Department announced in a tweet on Friday. The heat surge is due to the effect of southerly dust-raising fresh to strong wind. Caution is advised to avoid direct sunlight, the Met office added.
