Al Fai opens doors at Msheireb Downtown

Msheireb Downtown Doha has welcomed its first restaurant. Located at Company House, one of the four acclaimed Msheireb Museums, Al Fai Restaurant is created by Savy Hospitality. It offers authentic Qatari cuisine with a modern twist, delivered by noted Qatari and Omani chefs. Msheireb Properties acting CEO Ali al-Kuwari described the opening of Al Fai Restaurant as a landmark for Msheireb Downtown Doha, and the first of many fine-dining options to open soon at Qatar’s new regeneration project in the heart of Doha. Sheikh Abdul Rehman bin Saoud al-Thani, Savy Hospitality, said: “Al Fai Restaurant, meaning ‘the shadow’, is headed by the Omani celebrity chef Issa Allemki. We will also offer signature dishes from renowned Qatari chef Noora al-Khulaifi. We have presented this restaurant as a tribute to local talent and culture. Paintings were sourced from Qatari artists Tamador and Mariam Ahmad, and flower decorations from HINKS flowers, run by a group of Qatari women entrepreneurs.” Msheireb Museums director Hafiz Ali and Savy Hospitality managing director Yoonus Salim Vappattu were also present at the opening of the fine dining restaurant which stands exactly where the headquarters of Qatar’s first oil company stood in the early 1950s.
