OMEGA was the official timekeeper of the opening leg of the IAAF Diamond League, which took place at Qatar Sports Club on May 4.Stressing that “Doha is only the beginning”, the Swiss brand has said in a statement that it will follow the league around the globe, timing the world’s best athletes in 11 countries. “OMEGA has served as official timekeeper of the Olympic Games 28 times, so the athletes who have worked so hard to compete on the world stage are in good hands,” the statement notes.President and CEO of OMEGA Raynald Aeschlimann said, “I’m always deeply impressed by the level of passion and commitment shown by the athletes.
