Attorney General attends ILC session in New York

QNA/New YorkThe United Nations’ International Law Commission (ILC) held its 70th session at the UN Headquarters in New York, with the participation of HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, as the most senior member of the commission who was re-elected in 2016 at the 71st session of the UN General Assembly for the fourth consecutive year.The ILC began its session by electing a new chairman and a number of deputies representing geographical groups, and then proceeded to discuss its agenda.It will discuss a number of topics including immunity of State officials from foreign criminal jurisdiction; subsequent agreements and subsequent practice in relation to the interpretation of treaties; provisional application of treaties; identification of customary international law and  protection of the environment in relation to armed conflicts.QFSW launches Family Consulting Centre in Lusail cityQNA/DohaQatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) launched yesterday Family Consulting Centre (Wifaq) in Lusail city.The centre was established in accordance with the highest standards of security and safety and provided with the latest technologies in the world of information systems.It’s also commensurate with all the needs and requirements of technical and management of the profession of family guidance.This came during a ceremony organised by QFSW, in the presence of a number of Wifaq’s officials and executives, and a number of high-level figures in the State.Director of Wifaq Rashid bin Ahmed al-Dosari said in his inaugural speech that this edifice started from the start of its inception to emphasise the importance of the family as a basic and important pillar of society.He pointed out the great role played by QFSW since its launching in 2013 and its unlimited support for Wifaq’s work and efforts, through its vision of human capital empowerment.Mall of Qatar to host ‘Filipino Fiesta’Mall of Qatar (MoQ) has announced their new free family entertainment show, ‘Filipino Fiesta,’ daily at 6.30pm and 8.30pm until May 12.“It is always exciting for us to research and select special shows to come to Qatar and entertain our visitors on our stage simply because of the thrill they bring to the mall and the delight our community gets to experience” said MoQ CEO Stuart Elder.“Philippines is a land deep in tradition, culture and mystery.
