Israeli troops kill Palestinian in Gaza border protests

A woman demonstrator is evacuated after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli troops during clashes at a protest where Palestinians demand the right to return to their homeland, at the Israel-Gaza border in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian during protests along the border with Gaza on Friday, local health officials said.

The latest fatality brought to 39 the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli troops since protests began on March 30 and which Palestinians hope will revive the right of refugees and their descendants to return to their lands inside what is now Israel.
