Qatar takes part on patient safety meet in Japan

Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Public Health, is participating in the Third World Ministerial Conference on Patient Safety, which started in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.The Qatari delegation to the conference is headed by Dr Ahmed Mohammed al-Mulla, adviser to the Minister of Public Health.The conference, which will conclude today, discusses a number of important topics, including: patient safety frameworks and their role in comprehensive health coverage, patient safety for the elderly, as well as the importance of information and communication, the use of technology in patient safety, patient safety business besides general discussions on patient safety.The World Health Organisation (WHO), the World Bank (WB) and a number of health ministers from around the world are taking part in the conference.
