Qafac holds 10mn ‘safe work-hours’ ceremony

Qatar Fuel Additives Company (Qafac) recently celebrated 10mn safe work-hours without a lost time incident (LTI) in a ceremony held in Mesaieed. In a statement, the company said the milestone was achieved by Qafac employees, contractors, and vendors working together for the past six years with safety as a core value. Qafac chairman Abdulaziz J al-Muftah said the achievement was a clear result of everyone’s “high commitment” in working for the company. Qafac chief executive officer Khalid Sultan al-Kuwari said safety is Qafac’s core value and that the company will continue its “journey of success by safely working together as one team.”The event was attended by Qafac and contractor’s senior management, along with a large number of Qafac and contracting company’s staff. Safety awards were distributed to Qafac senior management and the contracting companies.Qafac and all major contracting companies, including Q-Con, Anabeeb, Petroserve, Newrest, GWC, Honeywell, and Averda also displayed their HSSE products and demonstrated various safe practices.
