NAMA unveils ‘Aspiration and Achievement 2030’ campaign

TheSocial Development Centre ‘NAMA’ launched its “Aspiration andAchievement 2030” campaign with the presence of intellectuals, medialeaders and interested audience.This campaign comes in the contextof the new strategic orientations of ‘NAMA’ that target youth as theyare considered the key engine in the wheel of development in Qatar.Thecampaign is a result of the requirements of Qatar’s Second NationalDevelopment Strategy 2018-2022 which the country has celebrated itslaunching in the first half of March, 2018.The campaign, which isthe first of its kind, aims to raise youth awareness about theimportance of Qatar National Vision 2030, its pillars and goals.Italso seeks to motivate them to contribute consciously to achieving thegoals of this vision that represents a prosperous future for a greatcountry and its ambitious people.On this occasion, Acting ExecutiveDirector of the Social Development Centre ‘NAMA’, Maryam bint Abdullatifal-Manna commented, “It is worth mentioning here that Qatar Foundationfor Social Work, under which ‘NAMA’ works, has a substantial role inpreparing Qatar’s Second National Development Strategy through itsactive and productive membership in the advisory group for thisstrategy.The strategy actually comes as part of a series ofconsecutive development strategies iterating the goals of Qatar NationalVision 2030 with its four pillars represented in human, social,economic, and environment development into reality.” Al-Mannaiadded, “In the context of the strategic orientations of ‘NAMA’ tosupport the Second National Strategy, I would like to announce thelaunch of the awareness campaign “Aspiration and Achievement 2030 meantto activate youth participation in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030based on their awareness and knowledge of the importance of this vision,which represents a prosperous future for a great country and itsambitious people aspiring to turn Qatar, by 2030, into a developedcountry capable of achieving sustainable development and ensuring adecent living for its people, over generations.”NAMA centre, whichwas established in 1996 with the desire to achieve the human and socialdevelopment in Qatar, aims to provide a stimulating environment whichcontributes to investing in the potential and creativity of youth, aswell as to meet their needs and aspirations as partners in the civilwork, while exploring the best chances and innovating to lead therenaissance of their communities.Since 2013, the centre has beenworking under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW).NAMA is a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council(ECOSOC), the Arab Network of NGOs, and the World Family Organisation(WFO).
