Wild trees plantation drive

The Ministry of Municipality andEnvironment’s Agriculture Affairs Department in co-operation with theNatural Protectorates Department launched yesterday a project tocultivate trees in Rawdat Al Samriya in Al Sheehaniyah Area. As part ofthe project, 150 seedlings of the wild trees of Qatar (Samar, Sint,Ghaf, Salam, Murkh, Sidr, Owsaj) were planted. The initiative started in2014, is aimed at conservation of Qatari wild trees. The event wasattended by Yousef Khalid al-Khelaifi, director of the AgricultureAffairs Department and a number of other officials.
