QNB Group has held various activities in collaboration with Qatar AutismSociety to mark World Autism Awareness Day 2018, observed under thetheme “Empowering Women and Girls with Autism.”  World Autism Awareness Day is observed on the second day of April ofeach year, as suggested by Qatar and adopted by the United NationsGeneral Assembly. QNB’s head office was lit up in blue as part of itsparticipation in the global campaign.In addition, QNB extends its efforts to support autism patients, developtheir skills and help them become a key component of the society byaiding the Governmental Health Communication Centre’s National AutismStrategy 2017-2012 in line with the aspirations of Qatar National Vision2030, the company has said in a statement.QNB set up a booth in Gulf Mall and handed out informative brochures about autism to the general public. Besides, QNB staff participated in an autism puzzle, holding the slogan“Autism’s voice, it is time to listen”, to signify the lifelong natureof autism and its invisible characteristics, and also sending a strongmessage on the importance of the community coming together for support.The statement added, “QNB’s keenness to contribute in supportingcreative disabled talents in Qatar comes in line with its diverse rangeof corporate social responsibility initiatives and programmes launchedwith the aim of aligning them with Qatar National Vision 2030.”QNB Group’s presence through its subsidiaries and associate companiesextends to more than 31 countries across three continents, providing a range of advanced products and services.
