EMIR CUP SHOOTING AND ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP

Ahmed al-Shammari celebrates on the podium with the four gold medals he won at the Emir Shooting and Archery Championship. Al-Shammari defeated Mohamed al-Tamimi to win the centrefire pistol title at the Losail Ranges on Saturday. Ali Morshed claimed the bronze medal of the event. Angelo Scalzone won the men’s trap gold ahead of Saeed Abusharib. Rashid came third. Amna al-Abdullah claimed the women’s trap title as she beat Bin Ali. Noura al-Ali clinched the bronze medal on the last day of the championship. In the archery competition Farhan al-Saadi won the gold and Ahmad al-Abadi claimed silver. More than 100 shooters and archers contested in the annual event.
