IHG rebrands M Doha Hotel as Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world’s leading hotelcompanies, has announced the signing of an agreement with Tanmiyat RealEstate to rebrand M Doha Hotel as Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay. The property is expected to be rebranded by August, aligning with IHG’sstrategy to grow the Crowne Plaza brand across the region, a pressstatement noted. Dr Braik bin Samikh, chairman of Tanmiyat Real Estate, signed theagreement for Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay with Pascal Gauvin, managingdirector, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG.The signing ceremony was held in the presence of dignitaries fromembassies, the EU-Qatar Friendship Group and Qatar Tourism Authority, inaddition to representatives from InterContinental Hotels Group andTanmiyat Holding.  The 317-room Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay will be the seventh operating IHG hotel and second Crowne Plaza hotel in the city. Strategically located in Doha’s West Bay, the property gives guests easyaccess to Qatar’s financial, shopping and diplomatic districts, as wellas views of the city’s impressive skyline. Besides, the hotel is within20km of Hamad International Airport for the guests’ added convenience,the statement points out. Business and leisure guests staying at Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay willexperience the “best of both worlds” with eight meeting rooms and anexecutive lounge, alongside an outdoor pool and a gym to rest andrejuvenate after a hectic work day. Guests will be spoiled for choicewith five dedicated food and beverage outlets catering to all tastes. To further enhance their culinary experience, Crowne Plaza Doha West Baywill also be home to Indian celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s restaurant,Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor, which will serve contemporary Indiancuisine to guests staying at the hotel as well as residents of Doha.
