AAB receives safety award

Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), exclusive dealer of Toyota andLexus in Qatar, received the Safety Compliance Award during the GeneralDirectorate of Civil Defence (GDCD)’s celebration of the World CivilDefence Day recently.  This year’s celebration came under the theme ‘Civil Defence and NationalInstitutions against Disasters’ to emphasise the importance ofstrengthening partnerships between various institutions and companiesrelated to Civil Defence.  The Safety Compliance Award was given to AAB for exhibiting strictadherence and compliance to Civil Defence rules and regulations whileensuring maximum safety and fire prevention measures in the workplace. AAB is the only automotive company to be granted such an award, the company has said in a statement.  This is the fourth consecutive year that AAB has received the award.“Safety first has always been a priority in all its locations at alltimes. AAB ensures that its safety personnel are equipped with thecorrect knowledge and updated safety issues by sending them for regulartraining and certification processes,” the statement adds.R K Murugan, AAB’s acting CEO and COO-Automotive Division, Imad Hamzeh,Real Estate director, and the Security and Safety Management teamattended the awarding ceremony.
