Blue Jackets win seventh straight match

Boone Jenner and Markus Nutivaara each scored a goal as the Columbus Blue Jackets rallied for a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio. The Blue Jackets extended their winning streak to seven games.Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves to help Columbus earn its seventh consecutive home victory. Alex Burrows scored for the Senators, who got 33 saves from Mike Condon.Bruins 3, Lightning 0Tuukka Rask had 23 saves while picking up his third shutout of the season and Torey Krug had three assists to lead Boston over host Tampa Bay. It was the 41st career shutout for Rask and marked the first time this season that the Lightning were shut out.David Pastrnak, David Backes and Riley Nash each scored goals for the Bruins, who moved within two points of the first-place Lightning with a game in hand. It also was the fifth time that Rask shut out Tampa Bay in his career. Andrei Vasilevskiy had 24 saves for the Lightning, who dropped their second straight game.Devils 3, Kings 0Keith Kinkaid made 38 saves as visiting New Jersey beat host Los Angeles. Kinkaid improved to 9-2-0 in his last 11 starts and recorded his fourth career shutout. He stopped 19 shots in the first, eight in the second and 11 more in the third.He also helped kill off six Kings power plays. Michael Grabner scored a short-handed goal and Nico Hischier tallied on even strength in the opening period as the Devils won their third straight game on a season-high six-game road trip.Flyers 4, Hurricanes 2Valtteri Filppula had the go-ahead goal with 5:49 left, and Philadelphia scored four times in the third period to beat host Carolina. The Flyers snapped a two-game skid. Philadelphia’s Travis Konecny tied the game 1-1 with 11:41 left in the third period.Carolina responded and retook the lead, 2-1, just over two minutes later on a goal by Jaccob Slavin. The Flyers tied the game again on a goal by Jakub Voracek with 8:02 remaining. Filppula then gave Philadelphia its first lead with his 11th goal of the season with 5:49 left. The Canadiens have lost two in a row and are 1-5-2 in their past eight games.Oilers 4, Panthers 2Connor McDavid scored the tying goal and had an assist on the go-ahead score as visiting Edmonton rallied to defeat Florida. McDavid also added an assist on Ty Rattie’s empty-net goal with 50 seconds left.McDavid has 19 goals in his past 22 games.  For the season, he has 34 goals and 55 assists, ranking third in the NHL with 89 points entering Saturday night. All three of McDavid’s points came in the third period. Despite the loss, the Panthers are 16-5-1 since Jan. 30 and 9-2-0 in their past 11 home games as they chase a playoff berth.Sabres 5, Blackhawks 3Nicholas Baptiste scored twice, including the go-ahead goal on the power play with 1:56 left in the third period, and Buffalo held on for a win over visiting Chicago. After goalie Jake Allen stopped Chris Kreider’s point-blank bid for a game-winner, Schenn tallied his 25th goal off a pass from Alex Pietrangelo, who earned his third point of the night.St. Louis forced overtime with Pietrangelo’s second marker of the night at 5:15 of the third period. Mika Zibanejad scored twice for the Rangers.Sharks 5, Canucks 3Timo Meier scored two goals, including the winner, as visiting San Jose defeated Vancouver. Meier’s second goal of the night broke a 3-3 tie at 6:07 of the third period as he wired a long shot home during a counterattack.Logan Couture, Tomas Hertl and Kevin Labanc each had a goal and an assist for the Sharks, who posted their fourth consecutive win. The Canucks took their season-worst sixth straight loss despite goals from Nikolay Goldobin, Bo Horvat and Alex Edler.Wild 3, Coyotes 1Marcus Foligno scored the winning goal midway through the third period as visiting Minnesota beat Arizona.
