QNB seeks to boost children’s money management skills

The activities are aimed at developing the basic skills of children in the field of money management and planning to ensure a stable financial future.
QNBis participating as the main sponsor in Global Money Week Qatar 2018,organised in Qatari schools by Qatar Financial Centre and theNetherlands embassy under the theme ‘Money Matters Matter’.The bankhas also conducted a number of interactive sessions and workshops inclassrooms at 15 primary schools in Qatar, targeting 1,250 students aged6-12 years.These activities were aimed at developing the basicskills of children in the field of money management and planning toensure a stable financial future, QNB said in a statement.“QNB’ssponsorship of this event echoes its keenness to support variousinitiatives meant to raise awareness among children in Qatar about theimportance of financial education, financial inclusion and principles ofgood financial management as essential tools to help them plan a stablefinancial future,” the statement noted.Observed in 137 countriesworldwide in the second week of March, the Global Money Week is anannual financial awareness campaign built to inspire children and youngpeople to learn about money matters, livelihoods, financial inclusionand entrepreneurship.QNB Group’s presence through its subsidiariesand associate companies extends to more than 31 countries across threecontinents providing a comprehensive range of advanced products andservices.
