Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre joins ICCA

The Doha Exhibitionand Convention Centre (DECC) has officially become a member of theInternational Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), it has beenannounced. The ICCA represents the world’s leading suppliers inhandling, transporting and accommodating international meetings andevents, and comprises over 1,000 member companies and organisations inalmost 100 countries worldwide. Established over 50 years ago, ICCAspecialises in the international association meetings sector, offering“unrivalled data, communication channels and business developmentopportunities”, according to a press statement. The ICCA membershipwill “reinforce the positioning” of DECC as a leading venue and Qatar asa global MICE destination in the Middle East, the DECC management saidin the statement. “We look forward to working with the ICCA and ourpartners to bring high-profile conferences to Qatar in the future.”Byjoining the ICCA network, DECC becomes part of the global community andknowledge hub for the international association meetings industry.
