Qatar Chamber, Indonesian trade team discuss ties of co-operation

Qatar Chamber vice-chairman Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari met yesterday with an Indonesian business team to review ways of strengthening economic and trade co-operation between the two countries.The Qatari-Indonesian Business Council was led by Deddy Saiful Hadi, who was the former Indonesian ambassador to Qatar.According to Qatar Chamber, the meeting also discussed possibilities of establishing joint ventures between Qatari and Indonesian businessmen and available investment opportunities for both sides.The Indonesian delegation is comprised of companies specialised in smart solutions, infrastructure projects, transport, rail and medical field.Al-Kuwari said that business sectors are looking forward to fostering co-operation ties with their counterparts in Indonesia, noting that the Indonesian market is deemed very large, which is full of opportunities that might attract Qatari businessmen.He added that Indonesia is rich in natural resources and offers investments in tourism, real estate, mining, food security, halal and services.Al-Kuwari said Qatari businessmen are interested in learning about the available opportunities in Indonesia.
