NU-Q students recognised for academic distinction

Students at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q) are being honoured for their academic achievements. Each semester, the university recognises students who do exceptionally well in their course work by naming them to the Dean’s List.NU-Q recently announced the students who achieved the prestigious honour for the fall 2017 semester. In all there were 77 students named to the Dean’s List with 15 freshmen, eight sophomores, 24 juniors and 30 seniors.“The rigour of the course-work across NU-Q’s academic programmes – which includes essays, exams, and media projects – challenge the students to perform to the best of their ability,” said Everette E Dennis, dean and CEO. “Those named to the Dean’s List deserve to be recognised for their academic endeavours and excellent performance.Students enrolled at NU-Q major in journalism and strategic communication or communication. Both programmes are grounded in a liberal arts education, which includes offering courses to students in political science, history, anthropology, and others – all of which provide a well-rounded education for the university’s graduates. NU-Q graduates have pursued careers as journalists, editors, strategic communicators, filmmakers, content creators, researchers and lawyers.
