Key role for fintech in capital markets: Al-Mansoori

Qatar Stock Exchange chief executive Rashid bin Ali al-Mansoori has stressed the importance of new technologies with fintech acting as “positive enablers” for capital markets infrastructure. He was speaking at one of the panel discussions “New Technology, Data and Anlaytics Services: How are Exchanges Reinventing Themselves for Tomorrow?” at the 13th World Exchange Congress in Oman. More than 250 experts and decision makers from 60 countries discussed various issues related to the current challenges in the capital markets such as the importance of regional co-operation, the role of financial markets in promoting innovation and supporting future economic projects, Islamic instruments and financial derivatives and their role in emerging markets.
