PM launches master plan to improve pedestrian safety

Qatar Pedestrian Crossings Master Plan, an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing the safety and security of pedestrians on the country’s roads, was formally launched at a function held in the presence of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani on Tuesday.At the launch ceremony, HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassem Saif Ahmed al-Sulaiti said that in their mission to make the country’s roads safe and secure for the pedestrians, the ministry had identified more than 50 locations across the country, with particular attention to Doha. It has launched a series of priority campaigns on pedestrian safety.
