Rapidrop crowned Division II champs

Rapidrop defeated Mumbai XII by 38 runs in the final to emerge champions in the Division II of the 29th CDC Cricket Tournament.At the Losail Cricket Complex, Rapidrop scored 228 runs after losing eight wickets in their 20 overs. Sandeep scored 63 runs off 27 deliveries with help of eight sixes and one four, while Jamai Jiga scored 76 runs off 23 deliveries with nine sixes and four boundaries. Sabir and Monty took two wickets each, while Nadeem, Shabab and Shaik claimed one wicket each for the Mumbai XII.In reply, Mumbai XII batsmen were bundled out for 190 runs. Shahbaaz remained not out with 51 runs, while Shabab and Monty scored 34 and 42 runs, respectively. Rapidrop’s Sandeep was declared man of the match. Kazi of QVC and Mumbai XII’s Monty were declared best batman and best bowler of the tournament, respectively.Shariq of Mumbai XII won the best all-rounder trophy and Jamai Jiga of Rapidrop was declared best wicket-keeper of the tournament. Business Development Manager of Construction Development Company Sanjiv Jain gave away the prizes.
