Qatar Sport Day celebrations kick off

Activities to mark Qatar's National Sport Day in its seventh edition kicked off on Tuesday morning in response to the Emiri decree No. 80 of 2011 which stated that Tuesday in the second week of February each year will be marked as National Sport Day in the country.

The Sport Day activities included various sports, such as such as cycling, swimming, football, basketball, tennis, taekwondo, self-defense, beach volleyball, water sports competitions and indoor activities in clubs and sports federations.

 Aspire Zone and Katara Cultural Village are among the venues hosting the National Sport Day activities that are attended by the country's ministries, sports federations, institutions and companies.
