QFA signs agreements with Hungarian, Mongolian federations

In a move to continue developing bilateral relations with variousfootball federations, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) signedco-operation agreements with the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ)and Mongolian Football Federation (MFF) at Al Bidda Tower in Doha.Yesterday, prior to the signing ceremony with the Hungarians, QFApresident Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani received MLSZpresident S?ndor Cs?nyi, vice-president S?ndor Berzi, general secretaryM?rton V?gi and the MLSZ delegation in his office to discuss matters ofmutual interest while stressing on the importance of building on therelationship between the two associations and developing it further inthe future for the mutual benefit of both parties. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Hamad and Cs?nyi, and was attended byQFA vice-president Saoud al-Mohannadi, general secretary Mansooral-Ansari, QFA President’s Office executive director Ali Dawood, QFA’sStrategy and Institutional Development executive director Mushtaqal-Waeli, Berzi and V?gi, besides the rest of the Hungarian delegation.On Sunday, Sheikh Hamad signed the agreement with MFF presidentGanbaatar Amgalanbaatar in the presence of QFA officials, MFF generalsecretary Shijir Ulziikhuu and Mongolian national team manager EnkhjinBatsumber.The QFA signed the agreements as part of its ongoing strategy to developfootball in Qatar and enhance its relationship with its various Asianand European counterparts. The agreements focus on co-operation in several key areas, mainly:technical and professional exchanges, national teams, exchange ofexpertise (including coach education and youth development), gamedevelopment, player development and referee development. It will alsofocus on the successful and numerous experiences of Qatari football,including Aspire Academy and Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital.Berzi, president of the Hungarian federation, said, “I am happy to behere in Qatar, and amazed at the facilities and overall footballmanagement and administration in Qatar. The successful collaborationbetween the Hungarian Football Federation and Qatar Football Associationhas existed long before the signing of the agreement as there is areferee exchange programme in place between the two sides in whichHungarian referees officiate matches in Qatar and vice versa. Thesigning of the ceremony is just a formality for as our deep rootedrelationship with the QFA has been in place for years now.”He added: “We will make use of the facilities in Qatar especially sinceQatar has great weather which allows us to do our training camps here inQatar during the winter season, while Qatar teams will also make use ofthe weather in Hungary during the summer season. “We will have a stronger collaboration that will be specificallytailored for the youth teams. We would like to invite the Qatar U-17national team to play in the U-17 international cup which we organise inHungary every year. It will be difficult to organise any matches forthe senior national team as there is a new European championship whichmakes it hard for the team to participate in matches or tournamentsoutside of Europe, however, we will keep studying the opportunity toorganise something for the senior national teams.”Amgalanbaatar, president of the Mongolian federation, said, “I wouldlike to thank Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani, President ofthe Qatar Football Association for the warm welcome. I am very happy forthe signing of the co-operation agreement between the MFF and the QFAand look forward to long-lasting co-operation between the twocounterparts in the coming period.”He added: “There is no doubt that Qatar has become a major sports hub inAsia and we are proud to work with a leading federation in the regionas such. The co-operation agreement covers all aspects related tofootball development, and we are very pleased with the content of theagreement, which will allow us to gain the knowledge and expertisedeveloped by the QFA that focuses on topics such as football management,training and education, as well as the use of medical facilities ofAspetar for treatment of our players, and by bringing our talent totrain in the Aspire Academy.”
