Vodafone rated as ‘Premium Operator’

Vodafone Qatar has beenrated as a ‘Premium Operator’ for their roaming services by the GSMAAssociation for the second year in a row.The GSMA Associationrepresents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly800 operators with more than 300 companies in the broader mobileecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies,equipment providers, and Internet companies, as well as organisations inadjacent industry sectors.Every year the association launches acompliance scorecard to rate operators’ compliance with the latestroaming standards and Vodafone Qatar received the highest score ratingagain this year.Vodafone Qatar CEO Ian Gray said: “We are delightedthat, once again, GSMA has recognised our premier roaming standard. This is the widestroaming footprint not only in Qatar but the GCC, Vodafone said. Moreover, with theocean covering 70% of the planet, when customers sail with Vodafone theywill be able to call, SMS and send e-mails with Vodafone’s maritimeroaming services.
