Farhad grabbed four wickets, including a hat-trick, to spark Shaheen XI’s gritty rally during their 12-run victory over Masters Club in the Qatar Airways Twenty20 Cricket Tournament for Division B teams. Qatar Airways and Qatar Cricket Association have been long-time partners in shaping the game in the country. At the West Bay Grounds, Shaheen XI collapsed at 108 despite a fighting half-century by Dawood. Qadir, Talha, Rashid and Ali all dismissed two players each to cause the slump. Shaheen XI then launched a thrilling return through Man-of-the-Match Farhad and his impressive four-wicket haul sent the rivals crashing to 96 all out in 16.1 overs. Ali was the sole player to resist the opposition bravely through his 66-run contribution. Asif Ashraf blasted a 43-ball 81 to inspire a remarkable four-wicket triumph for Selex Club against Bangla Riders in another match. Chasing a formidable 192-run target, Asif smashed four sixes and 10 boundaries in his brilliant knock. With Sameer hitting two sixes and four boundaries in 39 off 20 deliveries, Selex Club clinched the cliff-hanger. Asif Umar also made a vital 21 for the winners. Mosanda Club hammered Al Noof Club by a mammoth 134 runs as Imran Shah slammed 74, including a six and nine fours, and Shan Khan cracked two sixes and 11 fours in his 42-ball 72. Mosanda piled up a gigantic 230 in 20 overs, while Al Noof Club fell apart at 96 runs.Riyaz followed up the good work by Nilantha (45 in 42 balls) and Dilshan (33 in 28 balls) with a 17-ball 36 not out to steer Doha Bank to an exciting five-wicket victory over Garvey Lions with two balls to spare. Basheer hit a fine 69 not out with seven fours in Garvey Lions’ fighting 156 for four in 20 overs. Lahore Tyres were propped up by Shazni (77 runs in 41 balls) and Bilal (57 runs in 37 balls) during their 32-run win against Deccan Warriors Club. Amir hit 77 and tried to keep his team in the hunt but other players could not support him enough.
