A US senator announced on Tuesday she is pregnant with her second child, saying on Twitter she "wanted to share some exciting personal news."Senator Tammy Duckworth made the announcement with a post showing four yellow duck figures and the words "Duck, duck, duck ... duckling."Duckworth, 49, is a Democrat representing the Midwestern state of Illinois. She is pregnant with a girl and is due to give birth in April shortly after her 50th birthday, according to news reports. That will make her the first sitting senator to give birth.Duckworth is a retired Illinois National Guard lieutenant colonel who lost her legs fighting in Iraq in 2004. She gave birth to her first child, also a girl, in 2014 when she was a member of the House ofRepresentatives.
