Nasser Al Ali Enterprises, an IOS certified company, recently awarded Mahendra Bahadur Roka Sarki, a Nepali employee, with QR15,000 for his ten years of service. Nasser al-Ali, owner of the company, handed over the reward to Sarki. “I came here in 2007 to work as a helper but I was later promoted to a trade worker,” Sarki said. “With my salary, I am able to afford a better life for my family members. I am a father of two beautiful daughters and one son. With this reward, I will support my children for their higher education. My boss is like my guardian, he never makes me feel that I am in a foreign country.” The company regularly awards its best employees. Nasser al-Ali, the owner, has also carried out multiple philanthropic activities in Nepal, establishing mosques, madrassas, and providing educational support to orphaned children.— Text and photo by Usha Wagle Gautam
