CMU-Q celebrates Qatar’s culture, heritage

The Qatari StudentAssociation (QSA) welcomed the entire Carnegie Mellon University inQatar (CMU-Q) community to celebrate Qatar’s rich culture and heritagerecently.Students and members of the CMU-Q leadership, faculty andstaff enjoyed an evening of Qatari food and entertainment at theEducation City green spine, flanked by the Qatar Foundation headquartersand the Ceremonial Court.CMU-Q is also celebrating QatarNational Day at Darb Al Saai. As a part of Qatar Foundation’sactivities, the university is showcasing two programs to bring computerscience to young people: Alice Middle East and Mindcraft. QSA, astudent lead organisation at CMUQ founded in 2009, aims to highlight theQatari culture and traditions “in the diverse community of CMUQ andHamad Bin Khalifa University. CMU-Q has a robust population of Qatari students, representing 44% of all enrolled students.
