Attiyah Foundation hosts CEO roundtable meeting

The Al-Attiyah Foundation, a non-profit organisation, recently hosted the sixth CEO roundtable meeting to deliberate on the potentialities of the hydrocarbon sector in 2018.The event mainly explored the “Energy Outlook to the Year Ahead: What will 2018 Bring?” Well-known experts, including Alan Eyre, Director, Office of Middle East and Asia Bureau of Energy Resources, US Department of State; Robin Mills, Founder and chief executive of Qamar Energy; and Daniel Bustos, chief development officer, Accelerate Energy (USA) were the keynote speakers.Attendees included energy industry chief executives, presidents, vice presidents, managers, field managers and foundation members.The Al-Attiyah Foundation produces four CEO Roundtables annually tackling themes that are of importance to the energy industry, sustainable development field and beyond.Each roundtable attracts pre-eminent thought-leaders from across the world to share their valuable insights and opinions.In 2017, the series topics were: Innovation Technologies: Cutting Costs and Boosting Efficiency, Fossil Fuels and Renewables and The Implication of the Paris Agreement for energy and the energy industry in Qatar; including the event held on December 5.The series will continue to take place quarterly in Doha, throughout 2018.
