Australianambassador to Qatar Dr Axel Wabenhorst recently participated, alongwith well-known Qatari chef Aisha al-Tamimi, in a live cooking event atThe Curve Hotel. During the event, Qatar’s well-known dish AlMachboos was prepared as a means to introduce the audience to the Qataricuisine legacy, habits and culture. Held on the open roof terraceby the pool at the hotel, the event was attended by a number ofambassadors, media professionals, journalists and food bloggers. DrWabenhorst said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to learn aboutQatari food from one of Qatar’s best chefs, Aisha al-Tamimi. The abilityto cook Qatari food will remain with me during my time in Qatar andafterwards, creating a lasting memory of my posting.”On thesidelines, Ezdan Hotels Group acting general manager Wael El Telbanysaid: “The Curve Hotel spares no effort to highlight the authenticity ofthe Qatari society and its original characteristics and cuisine, whichreflect the society’s diversity and openness to the world.” TheCurve Hotel, which is managed by Ezdan Hotels, opened at the end of lastyear in a strategic location overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
