Qatar Chamber signs MoU with Saint Vincent counterpart

QatarChamber and Saint Vincent and The Grenadines Chamber of Industry andCommerce have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhanceco-operation and exchange of information and meetings between the twosides.The MoU was signed on the sidelines of a meeting held betweenQatar Chamber and a delegation from Saint Vincent and The Grenadines ledby Minister of Economic Planning Camillo Gonsalves.Minister CamilloGonsalves said that his country has many investment opportunities inthe agricultural sector, where fruit and vegetable farming is a majorpillar of the national economy, as well as the tourism sector, as SaintVincent and The Grenadines has the most natural attractions in theCaribbean, making it a favourite destination for tourists in the area.Theminister added that Saint Vincent and The Grenadines has relations withQatar in the political, social, cultural and scientific fields,expressing the hope that the business owners and the private sector inboth countries would contribute to strengthening the trade and economicrelations.For his part, Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed binAhmed bin Tawar said that the agreement aims to encourage businessmen inthe two sides to establish investment partnerships that would promotebilateral relations in the commercial sector in both countries.He called on Qatari businessmen to learn about the investment opportunities available in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines.
