Al Shaqab Racing’s Jeyoosh wins President of UAE Cup on her last run

Al Shaqab Racing’s Jeyoosh (Amer) ended her racing career in style by winning the Prix The President of the UAE Cup (L PA), in Casablanca, Morocco, on Sunday.The mare, ridden by Julien Auge, took the lead beside Autza (Jaman) and came in the middle of the home straight before accelerating again. Jeyoosh was not even preoccupied by Bachar de Carrère’s (Kerbella) attack in the last 200 metres, winning easily in the end.Thomas Fourcy, trainer of the winner, said: “The mare was very good in the morning, but she did not travel well, so we were wondering if we would run her or not. Her owners trusted me in order to take the right decision and I thank them for that. Jeyoosh will now return to stud. She ends her career nicely.”
