Media delegation visits Al Bayt Stadium

Some 30 journalistsrepresenting Arab and international media, hosted by the SupremeCommittee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), toured Al Bayt Stadium in AlKhor, one of the stadiums to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.Thejournalists were briefed on the progress of the work at stadium byofficials who reaffirmed that the project, including the facilitiesadjacent to it, would be completed by August 31 next year, when thestadium will be fully ready to host the matches.The media delegationalso inspected the workers’ housing complex where they witnessed thequality of life of the 5,000 workers. The journalists expressed theiramazement at the conditions there.After touring the stadium, thejournalists visited the railway station where they were given a detailedexplanation of the work process by the supervisors. The tour willcontinue today, when they will visit the SC headquarters at Al BadaaTower and meet the Secretary-General of SC Hassan al-Thawadi. Tomorrowthe delegation will visit the site of the Lusail Stadium, the AspireAcademy and attend other events, including a meeting with Al Sadd starXavi Hernandez. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Museum ofIslamic Art.
