Submissions open for WISE Awards 2018

The World Innovation Summit forEducation (WISE) has announced that the submission period for the 2018WISE Awards is now open. The announcement came during the eighth WISESummit in Doha. Applications and nominations for the 2018 WISEAwards can be submitted online at: http://www.wise-qatar.org/wise-awards-2018. Applications and nominationsfor the 2018 WISE Awards can be submitted until 1pm on January 30,2018. Each year, the WISE Awards recognises innovative and impactfulinitiatives addressing today’s most urgent education challenges. PastWISE Awards projects have addressed diverse topics including access andinclusion, design and ecosystems, digital and multimedia, society andworkforce, and more.Submissions are judged according to strictcriteria. They must show innovation, have a clear development plan, andbe financially stable, scalable, and replicable. They must alsodemonstrate a transformative impact on individuals, communities, andsociety. During the course of 2018, a panel of independent judgeswill select 15 WISE Awards finalist projects. Six winning projects willthen be selected from these finalists. The judging process will beoverseen by independent education consultants. The finalists andwinners gain global visibility and opportunities to collaborate throughvarious platforms, including the WISE Summit, an initiative of QatarFoundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), otherinternational WISE events, and WISE communications and publications.They also receive $20,000.
