Nama Centre takes part in Global Entrepreneurship Week activities

NamaCentre, an affiliate of Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW),participated as a ‘Community Partner’ in the Global EntrepreneurshipWeek (GEW) activities, which concluded yesterday at Qatar University(QU).GEW comes in line with the country’s strategy and orientationin supporting youth to develop their entrepreneurial capacities andskills. Nama Centre’s participation in the four-day event emanates fromits belief that QU is the platform that gives birth to future leadersand that the Centre, which aims to build youth’s capacities and preparethem for the future, should work closely with QU, in addition to theeducational, inspirational and research roles played by the former.NamaCentre’s participation in the event featured two workshops, showcasingthe experiences of finalists in the ‘Qatari Entrepreneur’ Awards,presenting members of the ‘Sama Nama’ social entrepreneurs developmentproject, in addition to participating in the Bazaar event through 10entrepreneurial projects incubated by it.The GEW is heldconcurrently in more than 160 countries around the world every year andincludes seminars, workshops and training sessions aimed at supportingthe Small and Medium-sized Enterprises sector and entrepreneurs.
