Ooredoo has won the ‘Best Smart City Collaboration’ award for its collaboration with the Lusail Real Estate Development Company on Lusail City at the recent ‘Broadband World Forum 2017’ held in Germany. One of Qatar’s largest developers, Lusail Real Estate Development Company is building Lusail City, Qatar’s showcase greenfield smart city. Ooredoo is deploying fixed-line broadband networks in Lusail City, which will enable innovative smart government and municipal services such as intelligent transport, smart metering and irrigation, and smart parking.Ooredoo COO Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi said: “Winning the ‘Best Smart City Collaboration’ award at the Broadband World Forum is a major milestone for Ooredoo.
