Qatar, German girls play friendly match

Qatar Women’s Sports Committee hosted a friendly football match between Qatar and Germany girls’ team. The match was played as part of the Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture event in the presence of Lulua al- Marri, chairman of the Qatar Women Sports Committee. A number of senior German embassy officials were also present on the occasion. Qatari team consisted of mostly young girls, not exceeding 15 years of age. While they put up a decent performance, they went down 3-5 to their experienced German counterparts.
