His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables to the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah on the death of Sheikha Shamma Hmoud al-Salman al-Sabah.Emir sendscondolences to US presidentHis Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani, and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables to US President Donald Trump, extending their condolences to the president and to the American people following the horrific incident that took place inside a church in southern Texas in which dozens were killed and injured. Decree No 87 of 2017, ratifying a co-operation agreement in the cultural field between the governments of Qatar and Kenya signed in Nairobi on 11/4/2017.Emir issuesDecree LawHis Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued Decree Law Number 21 of 2017 amending some provisions of the Law Number 34 of 2005 on Investment Free Zones.Instrumentsof ratificationHis Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued yesterday an instrument of ratification endorsing a draft agreement on economic, trade and technical co-operation between the governments of Qatar and Liberia, signed in Doha on May 21, 2014. The Emir also issued an instrument of ratification endorsing an agreement on air services between the governments of Qatar and Turkmenistan, signed in Ashgabat on March 7, 2016.Education ministerin Paris talksHE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi met the Minister of Science, Technology and Research of Sri Lanka, Susil Premajayantha, on the sidelines of the 39th general conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) taking place at the organisation’s headquarters in Paris.
