Qatar, Iran agree to set up joint committee on trade

The Qatari delegation, led by HE Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, during a meeting with the Iranian side in Tehran yesterday.
HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti met with Iranian Transport and Urban Development Minister Abbas Akhoundi in Tehran yesterday.The minister hailed the positive role of Iran and its position toward Qatar since the beginning of the current crisis in the Gulf region.The two ministers discussed aspects of co-operation in the fields of transport, ports and aviation and it has been agreed to form a joint committee to facilitate trade exchange and air and maritime transport, thus creating a joint foundation to serve mutual trade interests.They also discussed a number of matters of common interest between the two friendly countries. The meeting was also attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Iran Ali bin Hamad al-Sulaiti.
