Qatari writer Munira bint Fahd al-Thani has published a new book in Arabic, titled Yawmyat Watan (Diary of Homeland), expressing her feelings about this critical period in the history of the country. The 139-page book is a collection of articles, on the unjust economic blockade, from a personal perspective away from political and economic implications. In her introduction of the book she said: “I am not writing to present historical and political facts. I rather wrote my book to present my inner vision, inspired by the events that unfolded.“Writing is my way of defending the country, where I live and enjoy every moment. It is a country that inspires my very soul and a place that gave me nothing other than beauty, good and prosperity. It is Qatar.” The writer further stressed that she tried to be fair in expressing her feelings based on the high ethical values learned in this Arab country with its original identity that promotes truth and honesty.
