NEA-Q marks Engineers’ Day

The Nepal Engineers’ Association Qatar (NEA-Q) marked Engineers’ Day last weekend at the Radisson Blu hotel. A souvenir was also released on the occasion. The event was chaired by NEA-Q Acting President Birendra Kumar Sah. Nepal Embassy’s First Secretary Nitesh Sapkota was the chief guest. Former chargé d’affaires at the Embassy of Qatar in Nepal, Abdullah al-Emadi attended the event as the guest of honour. Other prominent people who attended the programme included Non-Resident Nepalese Association-National Co-ordination Council Qatar President Nabin Pokheral, Sagar Nepal and other engineers from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Established in 2004, NEA-Q regularly organises programmes to mark Engineers’ Day. This year’s programme was made further entertaining with cultural performances by Non-Resident Nepalese Tamang Society and Nepali Cultural Centre. Established in 1962, the Nepal Engineers Association currently has a global membership of 32,000 individuals.
