Q-Chem staffers take part in blood donation drive

Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (Q-Chem) organised a blood donation drive at the company headquarters in Doha yesterday. Held in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation, the drive is partof Q-Chem’s “continued support for local communities,” the company hassaid in a press statement.A fully equipped mobile blood donation unit was deployed to Q-Chem forthe community initiative along with a team of medical specialists. The donation drive started at 8am and continued through the day. “Thedrive saw great success with a huge turnout of Q-Chem employees,contractors and other company employees working in Amwal Tower,” thestatement noted.Everyone involved in the initiative expressed satisfaction atcontributing to the noble cause and highlighted the importance ofdonation to increase blood bank supplies and to save the lives of thosein need. Blood donation and volunteering are in line with Q-Chem’scorporate good citizenship, and the company organises blood donationannually at its multiple locations.Q-Chem’s CEO, Nasser Jeham al-Kuwari, said: “We are very proud of ourstaff, who spearheaded this initiative, and would like to thank allthose who stepped forward enthusiastically to donate blood. We alsoextend our gratitude to Hamad Medical Corporation for their invaluablesupport in organising the campaign and which has become an integral partof our Corporate Social Responsibility programme.”
